The Chase star Anne Hegarty is set to appear in a television sitcom.
The 64-year-old quizzer, otherwise known as The Governess, will reportedly play a housekeeper in a new show.
Gammon is created by Adam Bostock-Smith, who also writes for the ITV quiz show.

Anne says she always asks Adam to give her some funny lines because she loves comedy so much.
Away from The Chase, Anne has been involved in a number of different pantomimes, as well as other acting gigs.
She also appeared on gruelling reality show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! back in 2018.
Speaking about the new opportunity, Anne told the Mirror: “Being on The Chase is the best job I’ve ever had but I’d love to do a bit of acting.
“Our writer Adam has written a sitcom called Gammon about these two dim brothers who live together.
“I’m the housekeeper and I’m the only sane person in the place.
“We don’t know what channel it will be on yet, but there is a full script for the pilot episode and an outline for the first six episodes.”
Anne first joined The Chase back in 2010 and quickly became a household name.
She previously revealed that her character on the show was supposed to be “creepy” when she first appeared on the programme.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Anne explained that her character was initially inspired by the Harry Potter character Professor Umbridge.
During the live interview, the TV star told Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid how she had planned the direction for the “fearsome” character from the beginning.
Richard asked: “Did you develop this fearsome personality from day one or is it something that’s grown?”
She explained: “Yeah, I mean originally she was going to be more sort of creepy than she was.
“Originally she was going to be like Carole Aherne’s Mrs Merton, and a bit like Daphne of Eggheads and a bit like Delores Umbridge in Harry Potter.”

However, the pro quizzer explained how her character has since morphed into Professor McGonagall after more than 12 years on the show.
She added: “Well, people have suggested that I’m more like McGonagall than Umbridge which I think is a good thing.”
The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm
