Hugh Grant has had a meltdown over Heathrow Airport and slammed Priti Patel after branding the airport “a disgrace and inhumane”.

The former Bridget Jones Diary star was left so exasperated by the conditions on his travel experience that he took to social media to call out the airports conditions and slam the Home Secretary.

Hugh wrote on Twitter: “Dear Visitors to the UK, I apologise for the way you are treated on arrival. Terminal 3 Heathrow just now was a disgrace and inhumane.”

He added: “I’m afraid we have the worst Home Secretary in British history,” alongside the photo he took which shows long congested queues and women and children waiting on loungers.

After a round of backlash from followers, Hugh took to the microblogging site again to clarify exactly what he meant as he doubled down on his point on immigration and his criticism of the Home Secretary’s department.

He said: “Words to watch out for in my tweet below. “Visitors”. “On arrival”. These are the (not difficult) clues to why I was talking about queues at Border Control. Which is run by Home Office.”

He added: “Separately, are all airports a mess now? Yes – but that wasn’t what I was talking about,” as he clarified he was not talking about the running of the airport itself.

This comes as Hugh slammed reports he is set to play Prince Andrew in a film depicting the infamous BBC Newsnight Interview.
