Naga Munchetty was left embarrassed by her own actions as she laughed loudly at a brain cancer joke live on the BBC Breakfast on Saturday – 23 July.
The 47-year-old was joined on the red sofa by cancer survivor Laura Nuttall, mum Nicola and sister Gracie.
Laura was incredibly proud that she’d managed to prove her doctor wrong who’d told her that she wouldn’t survive, let alone achieve a 2:1 degree while going through chemotherapy.

The close family were explaining the highs and lows – including some “bad memories” where they’d noticed Laure had been unconscious after suffering a fit.
Speaking about the trauma, to how far her sister had come, Gracie said: “It was horrible, it was literally the worst moment ever but to watch her go up on those stairs and get to graduate makes everything worth it.”
Looking at the siblings who appeared to be close to tears during the emotional interview, Naga asked: “Are you two much closer now?”
With a giggle and no hesitation, Gracie firmly replied: “Yeah.”
The host continued: “Where you properly like buffing heads before?”
“We were really competitive and it just sort of all changed,” added Gracie as sister Laura chimed in: “The dynamic changed.”
While mum Nicola commented: “Gracie always wanted what Laura had until she got brain cancer and then she thought, ‘no you’re alright'”.
Naga couldn’t contain her outburst as she let out a “roaring” laugh at mum Nicola’s quip.
Embarrassed that she’d seemingly been unable contain her fit of giggles at what had so far proved to be a sensitive moment, the TV star apologised to the family.

“I’m so sorry, I can’t believe I am roaring but that was very funny,” said Naga.
Nicola encouraged Naga’s laughter, explaining: “We’ve done a lot of laughing in the last three years, we really have because you’ve just got to see the funny side of things.
She urged: “You’ve got to find the humour in every situation and look for the positives and find the good bits.
“I think life is a bit like a school holiday, if it went on forever, you wouldn’t appreciate it, you would waste it but knowing that life is short has just brought it into focus for us as a family.”
The mum-of-two urged: “Life is short for everybody and nobody knows what is going to happen next and it’s really important to get the best out of every day and just find those experiences and find the joy whether its just playing Mario Kart or meeting Michelle Obama, it could be about anything but it’s just about smiling and having good times.”
Charlie asked the sisters: “Has mum made that speech before?”
“Something similar, yeah,” laughed Gracie.
