Coronation Street fans reckon they’ve unearthed a secret connection between Stu Carpenter and Sean Tully’s boyfriend Frank Bardsley in a sinister twist.
With more to be revealed this week about Stu’s past – and spoilers confirming he has a long-lost daughter, Bridget – it has been confirmed that the chef has been hiding things from his pal Yasmeen Nazir.
It turns out Stu has an ex-wife, Lucy, along with his daughter and a granddaughter he had no idea about.

But fans think he could be connected to someone a lot closer to the cobbles – Frank, whose bullying past was exposed to Sean and his son Dylan last week on the ITV soap.
With both characters hiding something, could a connection between the pair soon come to light?
Fans took to social media to air their theories, with one writing: “I think Stu looks more closely related to Frank [to be honest], however that wouldn’t make sense I’m sure Frank and Sean have been to Speed Daal?
“Anyway I won’t be losing any sleep over it just thought I’d chuck that theory in the ring!”
Another echoed: “I think Stu and Frank look alike!”
As a third fan tweeted: “Frank looks and sounds just like Stu, once you see it you won’t be able to unsee it #Corrie!”
“Changed my mind, I’m seeing similarities between Stu and Frank now… #Corrie!” someone else penned.
Others have suggested Stu could have a connection to former Corrie villain Charlie Stubbs after he seemed determined to exact revenge on Tracy Barlow – and could even be his dad.
Along with attempting to drown David Platt, Charlie had an affair with Maria Windass, feuded with Peter Barlow and repeatedly cheated on Tracy behind her back.

Tracy went on to feign abuse and ended up killing Charlie and spending years in prison for the crime.
Taking to Twitter to air their opinions, one fan penned: “Okay so hear me out there’s stuff going to be revealed about Stu and I’m sure he’s going to be Charlie Stubbs’ relative… he seems to have it in for Tracy even after they kinda made friends…”
They then added: “Just think it could be interesting if he’s related in some way or has a connection to someone already on the street?”
As another echoed: “It seems Stu has it in for the Barlows. Is he Charlie Stubbs’s father or something?”
“Is Stu Charlie Stubbs’s father? Seems like he has it in for Tracy Luv,” a third commented.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8pm on ITV.
