Gemma Atkinson has opened up about how it felt to model bikinis for the first time in 11 years, with the star saying it was “daunting”.
The former Emmerdale and Hollyoaks soap star has said that modelling swimwear again was “strange” after she shot with fashion brand InTheStyle for her new summer collection.
Taking to Instagram after the shoot Gemma, 37, opened up in a video on her grid where she revealed how it felt to shoot images while baring all in swimwear.

“It’s weird shooting swimwear still… it’s odd,” she explained.
In the caption of her post she added: “It is always a tad daunting in swimwear. Regardless of age, shape, size we’re all human & all have our own insecurities thanks to today’s society.
“However, one thing I’ve discovered since having Mia is that our kids don’t care how we look in our bikinis, all they care about is if we go in the water.
“SO, wear the damn swimsuit and make those memories on your holidays!”
This new bikini line marks the third collection in collaboration with InTheStyle, after the star launched two athleisure lines with them in the past.
Posting a slew of glam snaps after the shoot wrapped ahead of the collection drop on Monday, August 1, Gemma looked incredible as she teased her “most requested drop yet”.
Underneath the sultry snaps of her donning her new collection, her Strictly Come Dancing fiancé gushed over the blonde beauty.
In the caption she championed size inclusivity when she penned: “The size run of the collection is 6-24, including all of the gorgeous cover ups which I know I’ll be wearing out and about, not just poolside!”
Gemma’s partner and fiancé Gorka Marquez gushed over his wife-to-be when he penned: “I mean!!! Can you look more perfect,” with a string of starry eyed emojis.
To which Gemma replied: “I actually can on a few more hours sleep.”
