Love Island's Davide and Ekin-Su exposed by expert as fans call couple 'fake'

A body language expert has taken a closer look at Davide and Ekin-Su after Love Island fans fumed the couple are “fake”.

Italian hunk Davide and Ekin-Su recently went exclusive in the villa after by the fire pit, and Friday’s episode (July 29) saw Davide confess he loved her.

The pair have become a fan favourite on the show following their cheeky banter and hilariously unfiltered chats, but it hasn’t stopped some punters claiming they’re not genuine.

She said Davide showed signs he was nervous when preparing to ask Ekin-Su to become exclusive, and that he was desperate to impress her with his plan.

She said: “He is invested in prepping the tiramisu for her, biting his nail in a clear show of stress when his initial inscription in chocolate sauce doesn’t go as planned, then smiling broadly at the completed creation on the chopping board, dimples on full display with his eyes firmly on the handmade dessert, imagining how his lady is going to say yes.

“Finalising all the details with Dami, Davide says he is not nervous, but he’s picking at his lips, looking down and smiling shyly – he is nervous for sure.

“Then, a quick pick at his mouth again, in a totally unnecessary gesture which again shows his nerves, when he walks Ekin-Su down to sit with him so he can ask her to be exclusive.”

She concluded that the Italian stallion didn’t care whether the cameras were there or not, and that Ekin-Su has “stolen his heart”.

Inbaal added: “Davide’s body language shows his perfectionism, and how much he wants to impress her, TV cameras or no TV cameras. He doesn’t care if this is the real world – what matters to him is that this is a real girl, and she’s stolen his heart.”

When looking into Ekin-Su, the body language guru noticed the Turkish beauty is an “image of composure and confidence”, but she have suffered disappointments in her romantic life as she couldn’t seem to believe Davide’s declaration is real.

“Herself, on the other hand, an image of composure and confidence. She walks towards the fire pit elegantly and powerfully, in control. He crosses his leg towards her, seeking her closeness, while she crosses her leg away from him, showing that she’s keeping her emotions hidden, not giving anything away. He face frozen in a perfect smile, she’s not relaxing.”

She went on: “When Davide mentions their first kiss, Ekin-Su’s face softens for a moment, she looks right at him, smiles sweetly, but then swiftly looks away again and controls her features again, impenetrable.

“Her composure is barely broken when the tiramisu comes out. She is shocked, her eyes darting, she is uncertain where to look. It actually looks like she’s expecting it to be a joke. She doesn’t know how to react, and asks for explanations. Perhaps she has had many disappointments in her romantic life in the past, because she refuses to believe that this is for real.”

Inbaal also noticed that Ekin doesn’t wipe away the “dribble” on her chin after she kisses Davide, leading her to conclude that “this is love” for her.

She insisted the couple haven’t been playing a game, but that Davide and Ekin are people from very different backgrounds who are falling in love.

Inbaal said: “After their kiss, when she turns to speak, there’s a bit of cake and dribble on her chin which she doesn’t wipe away. This is love.

“Here we are watching, not two people who are playing a game, but two people from very different backgrounds, with very different past experiences and dissimilar mindsets, trying to find a common ground because they are falling in love.”

One fan on Facebook said: “No chemistry between them at all it’s all fake. He’d never trust her and equally she’d always be looking for more than him.”

Another on Twitter said: “Hilarious seeing the mugs thinking Ekin-Su and Davide will last more than 5 minutes on the outside. Completely fake”

Others disagreed, with one saying: “Ekin-Su and Davide easily have the most authentic connection in the Villa. Just the way they look at each other and how everything flows so well. It’s not fake, it’s not cringy, it’s real.”
