During Monday’s debut episode, Chris and expert appraiser Paul Hayes visited Ian and his stepson Bradley in Leamington Spa.
Retired civil servant Ian and Bradley, who has autism, bonded over their shared love of trains when Ian started dating Bradley’s mum Amanda.
The family live in Ian’s late parents’ house which they’ve been renovating for the last couple of years.
There was no shortage of stuff for Kammy and Paul to rummage through.
While appraiser Paul Hayes was slightly off with his estimation the pair walked away with over £4,000.
However, viewers were left unhappy as the show replaced Australian soap Neighbours following its final episode last week.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Actually so excited that Cash in the Attic is back.”
Another added: “How the deuce has Neighbours been replaced by Channel 5’s resurrection of Cash in the Attic!!! Who wants to watch that? It was cancelled on BBC years ago.’
A third person posted: “When @neighbours is finished for the TV guide to put on s**t like Cash in the Attic make it make sense.”
While a fourth social media user said: “Really @channel5_tv? Cancel Neighbours to put on Cash in the Attic instead.”
However, other fans were delighted to see the show back on their screens.
One viewer penned: “Cash in the Attic is back on. That is all.”
