Emmerdale’s Suzy Merton was definitely hiding a few tricks up her sleeve when she first entered the village.
Revealed as one of the drug users who had a hand in Holly Barton’s overdose and death, Suzy seems to have turned a corner after stopping her cocaine use and coming clean to girlfriend Vanessa Woodfield.
But fans are sure she’s still hiding something – be it a connection to serial killer Meena Jutla or her hand in Nicola King’s brutal attack.

What is Suzy really up to? Daily Star has taken a look into the sinister connections she could be hiding as things heat up with Leyla Cavanagh’s drug addiction.
Secret Meena connection

Though serial killer Meena Jutla was recently sentenced to 75 years behind bars, fans think Suzy could be the key to helping her escape prison.
Some even think Leyla initially got close to Suzy to stop her assisting Meena, which was how she got dragged into her constant drug use – and perhaps began using cocaine as a crutch to help her through.
Leyla would have cause to help stop her after Meena shot her on the bridge at Billy and Dawn’s wedding, along with murdering her step-daughter Leanna.
Taking to Twitter, one fan theorised: “Know this is a bit out there but convinced Suzy is connected to Meena and could be helping with her escape, Leyla could be trying to stop her?”
The same fan went on: “It kinda makes sense if she’s Meena’s pal and blames people in the village for taking her down.”
Someone else posted: “I’ve just seen a comment speculating that Suzy is a hit woman, hired by Leyla to kill Meena and I genuinely wouldn’t put it past Emmerdale at this point.”
Another even thought she could be Meena’s first ever victim Nadine in disguise, after she somehow thwarted Meena’s attempts to kill her, guessing: “I think she is Meena’s friend who is supposed to have died first!”
Serial killer in disguise
Though the Dales only just lost its most notorious killer yet in Meena, fans think they’re ready for another in the form of Suzy.
She has already had a hand in the death of Holly – so would it really be such a stretch to see her take another victim, this time intentionally?
On social media various theories have been circulating about Suzy, with one eye-rolling viewer penning: “…Not another serial killer?”
Another said: “It’s good to see Vanessa happy doubt it will last though – I’m sure Suzy will probably turn out to be a serial killer in a few weeks!”
Beth link uncovered
When Dawn Fletcher headed to her best friend Beth’s funeral, fans were devastated to find her young daughter Clemmie lying in a dog bed.
And fans think Suzy could have had a hand in Beth’s death – and could even have given her the drugs that killed her, just as she had Holly.
One Twitter user suggested: “Is Dawn’s dead friend gonna be linked to Suzy?.”
Another echoed: “Dawn’s new long term best friend’s death is well gonna be linked to Suzy.”
Nicola’s attacker

Nicola King suffered a brutal attack at the hands of a gang of teenage girls earlier this year – and the whole thing was caught on video.
Though the perpetrators still haven’t been caught despite Nicola’s best efforts, fans are sure they already know the identity of at least one of her attackers – and think she could be Suzy’s sister.

One Twitter user shared a snap of one of the girls wearing a denim jacket and black top, explaining: “I’m betting this lass is related or linked to Suzy (both have the same voice) and she comes to visit with the other one who’s trainers Nicola saw and that’s how Nicola’s going to know who it was who beat her.”
However, another argued: “Omg they both have a Yorkshire accent… in a Yorkshire soap! Why do you not get it mate?!! That’s the only link!”
That said, anything could go down in Soapland.
