EastEnders fans 'work out' Ravi's dad's identity as they notice 'jealousy' clue

BBC EastEnders fans have predicted a shocking twist is on its way, as they have speculated that Ranveer may not be Ravi Gulati’s real father.

The character, portrayed by Aaron Thiara, is currently in prison on the show.

The character was first introduced on July 4 this year and he is a bit of a mystery to fans because not much is known about his background.

The reason for his imprisonment is still unknown and there is little information about him.

What fans do know is that he has a rivalry with Kheerat Panesar, which links him to the Square.

Ravi was introduced into the soap when fan favourite Phil Mitchell asked him for a burner phone in prison.

In the latest instalment of the BBC soap, Ravi was out of prison and discovered Suki Panesar standing over his dad Ranveer’s body.

Ranveer had attempted to rape Suki and she had knocked him unconscious with a clock.

Strangely Ravi agreed to help Suki and killed his father before cutting up his body, putting him in a suitcase and throwing it in the river.

Fans have been disturbed by Ravi’s lack of emotion and think that this could mean that a shock twist is on its way.

“Ravi doesn’t seem too upset,” one fan said.

Another explained their theory: “I’m suspecting that Nishandeep is actually Ravi’s dad – making him half-brother to Vinny, Kheerat, Jags and Ash.”

Nishandeep is Suki’s husband and the two have four children.

He’s currently in prison and is another mysterious character, as viewers have never seen him.

Ranveer and Nishandeep were friends when they were young and that is the link between the Gulatis and the Panesars.

One fan wrote: “Or Nishandeep made Suki give up a child she had with somebody else (maybe even killed him and that’s what he’s in prison for) and Ravi is now getting rid of the kids she kept.”

“I agree,” another wrote. “It seems to me that Ravi wants to be head of that household and maybe that’s why he has a problem with Kheerat.

“I’m guessing that Ravi and Kheerat are about the same age so I’m wondering what happened to make them rivals.”

But some didn’t quite believe the theory: “I don’t know, I’ve not seen anything in Suki’s reactions to Ravi to suggest he’s her secret son.

“He’s definitely weirdly intense about her (jealousy that Kheerat had better parents, issues relating to his own mum?) but so far it seems one-sided to me.”
