Paddy McGuinness has appeared in a bizarre shower video of himself as he admit his birthday plans have gone down the plughole.
The Top Gear star, who turns 49 today, took the plunge in the wake of his recent split with wife Christine.
Taking to Instagram on Friday Paddy, who shares twins Leo and Penelope, nine, and six-year-old Felicity with Christine, spoke out as he lathered himself.

He told his followers: “Welcome to a very special shower news: the drought edition.
‘I tell you what, this sun is gorgeous. Yeh, it’s red hot but I’m enjoying it. It’s my birthday this weekend, August 14th. Don’t like to talk about it the big four-nine…
‘I thought I’d get in the garden with the kids, fill the paddling pool up and whack on the barbie, but obviously all that’s out of the window now.’
He added: “But Monday I’m back in the studio for Question of Sport so come down and join us, watch the recording – we’ll have the air con cranked up all the way so you’ll have a lovely time.”
The Take Me Out star went on to say: “As I say it is my birthday this weekend – I don’t like to talk about it – and to any brands watching, please don’t send me anything through the post. I’m not interested. Unless it’s high end and really expensive.”

The video comes amid his split with Christine after 11 years of wedlock, after she reportedly found Instagram messages from Paddy to a BBC presenter, which were reportedly just a friendship.
Speaking to The Sun On Sunday this month, Christine said: “I don’t want to go into it too much, but I will just say that I didn’t cause this situation.
“You’ve got to expect it when you’ve been together for so long. Everyone grows and changes, and we’ve grown as a family, which is amazing. That family bond will always be there, no matter what.”
The couple announced on Instagram that they would still live together at their £2.1million home in Cheshire for the sake of their children – twins Leo and Penelope, nine, and six-year-old Felicity – all of whom reportedly have autism.
