'Simon Cowell is powerful b****** but shouldn't bring back X Factor' says ex star

Union J star Josh Cuthbert has argued that it’s a little too soon for the X Factor to make a return – but did call Simon Cowell “powerful”.

On Monday (August 15), Josh attended the HBO premiere for House of the Dragon, the impending Game of Thrones spin-off.

He looked super smart in a beige blazer and was accompanied by his wife Chloe Lloyd.

The boy band star first shot to fame after he auditioned for the X Factor in 2012, where they came fourth.

Josh spoke exclusively to the Daily Star about how his band recently supported Christina Aguilera on her trip to the UK to perform.

He said: “Yeah, so we supported Christina which was ridiculous, we met her on the last day finally. Like you know when she’s in the room, you can feel it, but she came and met us and she was really lovely and thankful.

“Simon [Cowell] is that kinda guy too, he has this aura around him, he’s a powerful b****** kinda vibe, if you know what I mean?”

But what does the former star think of the X Factor making a comeback?

Josh stated: “I heard this and I’m not sure about it. I think you should let things, not die, that’s very morbid, but I think you can overdo things.

“With the likes of Big Brother there has been a longer gap, so that’s a better shout, but I think X Factor should have left it a few more years in my opinion.”

Josh also announced that he and the band, which consists of Josh, George Shelley, Jaymi Hensley and JJ Hamblett, are also in talks of creating a tell-all documentary.

The singer revealed: “Hopefully, we’re doing a tour in March next year and we’ve got some record label meetings and other exciting meetings about a documentary and stuff.

“We are going to be open about our mental health and a bit about what it’s like being in a band and various stuff really – just a very open and honest thing really.”

Josh also said that fans should keep their eyes peeled for another upcoming announcement as they will be supporting another star “just as big” as Christina soon.
