They both styled their hair slicked back as they beamed and held onto the arm of their friend who stood over them and hugged the couple.

The trio appear to have caught golden hour as the setting sun gave off a warm glow while they sat under a parasol.

The next snap showed a scenic view over a dense green forest of trees, the purple sky highlighting the orange sunset as the day drew to a close.

In the caption, Ben gushed: “Birthday weekend was really rather fun. I forgot to take photos, which is always a good sign, but spent it with lots of lovely people including these [favourites], lots of [sun] and a few [drinks].”

Ben then tagged his pals and added: “This was the sunny rooftop and gorgeous views from our dinner [at The Dorchester].”

Others said that they were “glad he’d had fun”, hoped he’d had a “wonderful time” and gushed that Ben looked “fabulous”.

The BBC Breakfast host was recently left cringing whilst on-air with his co-star Sally Nugent after Mike Bushell showed off his dance moves.

As Mike spoke to Dexy’s Midnight Runners member Jim Paterson, Ben hung his head in his hands as the reporter busted some moves and his microphone came loose.

Ben then said to viewers that he “couldn’t promise any more dancing”.
