Superbad has left fans laughing ever since it hit cinemas back in 2007, and it’s now become a cult classic.
The hilarious high-school comedy follows inseparable best buddies Seth (Jonah Hill) and Evan (Michael Cera), two seniors who want to let loose before they head off to college.
Luckily, the awkward duo are invited to a wild party before they graduate, but their plan to supply the bash with buckets of booze soon descends into chaos.

From brutal brawls to sex scenes and tender moments of friendship, Superbad matched outrageous comedy with poignant coming-of-age drama.
To celebrate the 15-year anniversary of Superbad, Daily Star took a look at where the on-screen classmates went next.
Michael Cera – Evan
Michael Cera has famously played tons of lovably-awkward teens during his movie career, and shy-guy Evan was certainly one of them.
Before Superbad, he had already gained fame as George Michael Bluth on the sitcom Arrested Development, but 2007 became a big year for the Canadian actor.
Cera starred alongside Elliot Page in Juno (2007), which was nominated for several Oscars and bagged Best Original Screenplay.
He went on to take the lead role in Scott Pilgrim vs the World (2010) and played a fictionalised version of himself in This Is the End (2013), where his character scandalously slaps Rihanna’s bum.
In 2016, Michael’s Scott Pilgrim co-star Aubrey Plaza revealed that she had dated Cera for around 18 months after the film wrapped and they had considered tying the knot.
Despite breaking up, they remain good friends.
A man of many talents, Michael is also an indie musician who dropped a solo album in 2014, and has played as a bassist in the rock supergroup Mister Heavenly.
Emma Stone – Jules
Jonah Hill’s character Seth had a major crush on Emma Watson’s character Jules, who was both popular and nice in equal measures.
Superbad was Emma Stone’s first ever film role and the first of many hit teen comedies such as Zombieland (2009) and Easy A (2010).
Stone would go on to win the Oscar for Best Actress for her time in La La Land (2016), the musical Hollywood romance she starred in with Ryan Gosling.
Emma reportedly began dating her Amazing Spider-Man co-star Andrew Garfield in 2010 during filming, but they were understood to have split in 2015.
In 2017, she found her Mr Right in Saturday Night Live director Dave McCary.
The showbiz duo got engaged in December 2019, got married the following year and welcomed their baby daughter Louise Jean last March.
Jonah Hill – Seth
Jonah Hill has gone on to enjoy a hugely successful acting career after Superbad, with starring roles in films like This Is the End (2013) alongside his co-star Michael Cera.
He’s also taken leading roles in the likes of 21 Jump Street (2012) with Channing Tatum and The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), which saw him star alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and bag an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
In the biopic, his character Donnie had to whip out his penis (a prosthetic) and start masturbating in front of everybody at a huge party.
Jonah also described the plane orgy scene as the “most unhygienic scenario” he’d ever been in as he was stuck in a plane set for 18 hours surrounded by genitalia.
Hill seems to love working with his former Superbad castmates as he acted in Netflix’s dark comedy series Maniac (2018) with Emma Stone.
He also provided his voice acting talents alongside Christopher Mintz Plasse for the How To Train Your Dragon fantasy franchise.
It’s been well documented that Jonah underwent a dramatic weight loss before appearing at the 2011 ESPN ESPY Awards.
He revealed he did so to seek more serious film roles and explained he sought out a trainer and a nutritionist, having made sushi a major part of his diet.
He also trains in Brazilian jiu jitsu, which he has described as “humbling” and “beautiful”.
Seth Rogan – Officer Michaels
Seth Rogan didn’t just star as the fun-loving cop in Superbad, he actually wrote the script for the film with Evan Goldberg.
The Hollywood writing duo would co-write Pineapple Express (2008), The Green Hornet (2011) and both write and direct This Is the End and The Interview (2014), with Seth acting in all of them.
Rogan met his fellow writer-actor wife Lauren Miller on the set of Da Ali G Show, and it was happily ever after as the pair tied the knot in 2011.
The smitten pair, who started dating in 2014, said they don’t plan to have any children.
Seth and Evan aren’t just film-making partners, because they have also formed their own cannabis company called Houseplant in Toronto, which has has now expanding across California.
Last year, Rogan said he suffers from mild Tourette syndrome, which runs in his family.
Bill Hader – Officer Slater
Bill had already established himself as a comedy star during his long stint on Saturday Night Live, but his choice to act in Superbad seemed to pay off in a big way.
His agent at the time had apparently tried to warn him against starring in the movie.
After playing Seth Rogan’s fellow inept policeman in the funny flick, Hader went on to star in the likes of Tropic Thunder (2008), Adventureland (2009) and Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008).
Horror lovers might know that he played an adult version of Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard in It: Chapter Two (2019), and Brooklyn 99 watchers will have seen him play the captain.
However, he’s not just an actor either as he’s served as a writer and producer on South Park since 2008.
Hader dated Anna Kendrick between late 2020 and early last year, but in June it was reported the Hollywood couple had split.
Christopher Mintz Plasse – McLovin
Apparently, Christopher was so young during the filming of Superbad, 17, that his mum was legally required to be on set during his sex scene, which was sure to have thrown up plenty of embarrassing moments.
He was unknown at the time and didn’t even have any professional headshots, so he took one with his mobile phone, but his Fogel character became iconic.
Fans of the film will be able to recite his fake ID scene, where he masquerades as McLovin via a tragic fake ID.
The star has gone on to work on a number of popular films such as How To Train Your Dragon (2010-2019), Kick-Ass (2010), Kick-Ass 2 (2013) and Role Models (2008).
The actor is due to get married to his girlfriend Britt Bowman.
Martha MacIsaac – Becca
Martha played Evan’s love interest Becca in the film, who gets far too drunk to have sex with her crush at the end of the film.
After Superbad wrapped, she starred in the horror films The Last House on the Left (2009) and Dead Before Dawn (2012).
Her most recent project was the sports film Battle of the Sexes (2017), where she reunited with her Superbad castmate Emma Stone.
The actress was previously married to film director Torre Catalano, but the pair split in 2015.
However, she finally found her husband in Kyle McCullogh in 2018,
The pair welcomed their first son, Isaac back in October 2019.
