Their new uniform has passed various tests from Louis and school kids to ensure they survived the playground.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star about his daughter, he said: “She’s crazy, she’s really found her feet.

“She’s running from one end of the room to the other picking things up, rolling around, climbing things – she’s now learnt how to climb onto the sofa.

“It’s making it a little bit more stressful having to have eyes in the back of your head but it’s part of a learning curve of being a parent for the first time, it’s a fun challenge.”

He continued: “It’s a lot of responsibility watching every little thing they pick up and sometimes you just catch her taking her fingers out of her mouth and you think ‘has she picked something up, has she put something in?!'”

Discussing the campaign which has also seen TU partnering with Family Action to donate £10,000 worth of uniforms to vulnerable families, he said: “It’s a worry for everyone, not just the vulnerable families in the UK.

“Struggling to pay electric bills and gas bills is one thing and then the added stress of kids constantly outgrowing school wear and it being torn and needing to be replaced.

“TU clothing and their way of relieving lots of stress, they’ve teamed up with Family Action which is going to go a long way in terms of helping vulnerable families.

“It’s not just replacing clothes that are outgrown, it’s the constant wear and tear, it’s a great cause.”

Reflecting on the experiences he is yet to face with his daughter, he said: “It just shows me that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel with the cost of living going up and it’s a very unprecedented time.

“For me, Marley, she’s crazy, I think if she grows up anything like me, I’ll probably have to put my hands in my pocket as well and carry on obviously updating her school wear, unless I purchase TU clothing.”
