Some fans said the first episode should even have come with a trigger warning because scenes were so realistic.

One fan wrote: “House of the Dragon premiered last night. I won ruin for those who haven’t seen it yet, but I believe one of the scenes was the most painfully graphic , realistic, horrifying things I’ve ever seen at work or anywhere. Was it just me?”

Another twitter user wrote: “Minor but necessary spoiler that House of the Dragon episode 1 contains a GRAPHIC childbirth sequence. If you will find this disturbing for any reason (and there are many), please take care!!”

“I enjoyed House of the Dragon. But I don’t think its an overly necessary show and I think people deserve to know that it’s extremely graphic and not for everyone. There’s an extremely traumatic birth scene that people should be aware of so they don’t see it by accident,” said a third fan.

A fourth commented: “I must have forgotten how graphic GOT was because my jaw is on the FLOOR with house of the dragon” along with a crying emoji.
