Love Island star Jamie Allen has been “released” from his footballing contract with FC Halifax Town.
At the time of Jamie’s Love Island appearance his football team made it clear they were unhappy with him leaving to join the ITV dating show.
Jamie is yet to comment on the departure but the club released the news on their social media channel today.

The statement read: “FC Halifax Town and Jamie Allen have mutually agreed to release Jamie from his contract and he has left the Club.
“FC Halifax Town would like to thank Jamie for his contribution to the Football Club and wish him all the best in the future.”
The club made it clear they were unhappy with Jamie’s decision to joining the cast of Love Island and at the time posted a statement that read: “Allen has decided to join the cast of Love Island 2022, making his intentions clear that the opportunity is very important to him.
“The matter will be reviewed on his return.”
Many fans of the football team, however, were not happy about Jamie’s decision to leave the club.
One wrote: “Hope it was worth it Jamie lad, a weeks worth on TV and another week of Interviews from Magazines and that will be your lot. Wonder if Guiseley need a player?”
A second said: “Guy is quitting his football career to make guest appearances at student nights for 3 months and then spend the next year or two promoting teeth whitening strips and George at Asda men’s range.”
Jamie Allen left the Love Island villa with Danica Taylor and the two seem to have been going from strength to strength.
Danica recently bragged that she has had sex with the footballer in an interview with Okay Magazine.
The brunette bombshell said: “The beauty salon is fully working. It’s all good, full works. Why not?”
Using this year’s Love Island lingo to describe how far they’d gone in the bedroom.
She continued to tell OK! Magazine : “Obviously we’ve joked about, ‘Ah, we’ll have such cute kids. Imagine if one day we got married and we met on Love Island.
“We’re just taking every day as it comes.”
Jamie added that they don’t want to “put any pressure” on their romance, and said it’s “early days.”
He explained that they aren’t “rushing” anything because that’s “when things go wrong.”
