Holly Willoughby and Fearne Cotton have known each other for years.
The blonde stars are very close in age – This Morning presenter Holly is 41 and TV and radio personality Fearne is 40 – and they palled up as they were both making their way up in the entertainment industry at the same time.
The pair have shared countless snaps of them on holidays and nights out over the years, and are tight as ever now.

But it seems the friendship hasn’t all been plain-sailing, with speculation at one point that the former Celebrity Juice stars had drifted apart as they got busy with other things.
We take a look back at their friendship over the years.
Palling up as rising stars

Holly and Fearne first became friendly when they were around 17 and both rising stars.
Both were busy getting their careers off the ground from their late teens to early 20s.
Holly had shows like CBBC At The Fame Academy, X-perimental and Ministry Of Mayhem and Fearne on Eureka TV and Finger Tips.
But they had each other to lean on, and were often photographed out and about together.
Holly and Fearne joined forces for dating show

In 2007 the pair teamed up for short-lived dating show Holly And Fearne Go Dating.
It saw the stars matching up potential couples and sadly failed to go the distance, with just a few episodes airing.
Still, the duo seemed to have had a blast.

And a few years back they revealed on the Lorraine show that they spent a chunk of their time on the series just sipping cocktails together.
“We would set people up, then we were in Hell’s Kitchen (restaurant) spying on couples having dinner while we – and I’ll let the viewers in on this – sat at a bar having cocktails,” confessed Fearne.

That same year, Fearne and Holly’s friendship was cemented further as Holly tied the knot with TV producer Dan Baldwin, who she now shares three children with, Harry, Belle and Chester.
While they worked together on air, Holly asked Fearne if she would be one of her bridesmaids.
Fearne later spoke about the big day, saying she was so honoured that she cried her eyes out.
Celebrity Juice days

Holly and Fearne had another chance to make TV together when they both joined panel show Celebrity Juice in 2008.
They both stayed on the programme for many years and shared plenty of laughs, but in 2018 Fearne announced that she was quitting.
Holly followed suit two years later, but left fans with many memories of their time on the show together, including them nearly kissing in a racy game where they had extract chips from each other’s nostrils using only their teeth.

Viewers were stunned as the pair got very close and personal with each other, with Fearne eventually claiming victory on the ITV stage.
The blonde bombshells had another intimate encounter in a game called House of Tongue, where they had to pick up items from the floor using just their mouths, with the pair sharing an olive between them as they had to drop it onto a target.
Rekindling close friendship

After Celebrity Juice it’s thought the pair may have drifted a bit, thanks to their busy careers and the fact they both had families (Holly is a mum of three and Fearne has two children).
However, it seems that the duo are as close as ever these days.
Earlier this year a source told Closer magazine: “Holly and Fearne are in touch more than ever after rekindling their friendship.
“They had grown apart over the years as their careers and lives took them in different directions, but now they have so much in common – bonding over juggling motherhood, their careers, and their mental health.”
Marking each other’s 40th

The stars both turned 40 in 2021 and made sure to mark each other’s big days.
Holly shared a throwback snap of them out together, writing: “Love you Cotton Chops!”
And Fearne posted a string of snaps of them from over the years, including some of them soaking up the sun on holiday.
“How has time flown by so quickly,” she wondered.
“Your birthday today gave me the perfect excuse to delve back into our early twenties. So much fun and freedom and laughter and gin. Wishing you the best day Holly! Here’s to 40 darling.”
