But why has the tour been cancelled and what has Justin Bieber said about cancelling the shows?
Here’s everything you need to know.
Why has the Justice World Tour been cancelled?
The Justice World Tour has been cancelled in order for Justin to prioritise his health.
The singer had to postponed a number of tour dates earlier this year after he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome – which occurs when a shingles outbreak affects the facial nerve near one of the ears.
Justin – who is married to model Hailey Bieber – kicked off his Justice World Tour in March this year, but was forced to cancel shows in June when he was left suffering from facial paralysis due to his condition.
The Baby singer recently resumed his touring duties and still had 70 shows left to complete before wrapping things up in March 2023, but the star has now pulled the plug completely on the tour in order to protect his physical and mental health.
What has Justin Bieber said about the cancellation?
Justin took to his Instagram story to explain the cancellation to his loyal followers.
He said: “Earlier this year, I went public about my battle with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, where my face was partly paralysed.
“As the result of this illness, I was not able to complete the North America leg of the Justice Tour. After resting and consulting with my doctors, family and team, I went to Europe in an effort to continue with the tour. I performed six live shows but it took a real toll on me.”
“This past weekend, I performed at Rock in Rio and I gave everything I have to the people in Brazil. After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me and I realised that I need to make my health the priority right now.
“So I’m going to take a break from touring for the time being. I’m going to be okay but I need time to rest and get better. I’ve been so proud to bring this show and our message of Justice to the world.”
The pop star then signed off the post by telling fans: “Thank you for your prayers and support throughout all of this! I love you all passionately.”
Speaking to TMZ, a source claiming to be close to the star revealed that “a significant reason for the cancellation is mental health” as Justin has allegedly been “struggling in the last few years” and coping with his recent health battle has also taken its toll.
