News of a shock betrayal has sent the new series of Married At First Sight UK into chaos as it’s been revealed a wife has run off with another husband.
The show, which airs Monday to Thursday evenings on E4, has been faced with yet another blow as news of the huge affair unfolds, but bosses are keeping the identity of the husband and wife safely guarded.
Despite only being a few episodes in, the split is set to be explosive and has been teased by bosses as an ordeal that will cause “absolute chaos”.

Speaking to The Sun, an insider said: “One of the wives decides to run off with another husband, and it will cause absolute chaos when the truth comes out.”
The insider went on the tease that fans and contestants won’t see the shock betrayal coming.
“It’s going to be a massive talking point, both on the show, and also amongst viewers,” the insider added. “It will blow the experiment wide open and be hugely dramatic. Fans won’t see it coming.”
The level of drama is set to make the biggest argument in MAFS UK history – when Nikita slammed Jordan during a dinner party – look like an episode of Antiques Roadshow, according to the show’s insider.
They said: “The fireworks after this affair will make the drama of last year look like an episode of Antiques Roadshow.
“It’s up there with all the twists and turns fans love from the Aussie version of the show.”
The recent series has already been hit with a scandal as groom George Roberts quizzed his new bride April Banbury about a kiss she shared with someone else.
During their honeymoon, April asked for space as things grew intense between the pair.
George broke down in tears over the betrayal as April kissed another woman.
Explaining the moment, George said: “It was heartbreaking and a massive kick in the teeth. She’s been intimate with somebody else. I’ve been cheated on.”
