Katie Price's new Channel 4 film pulled off air as she pays tribute to Queen

Katie Price has announced her new documentary has been dropped from Channel 4’s schedule and moved to a later date.

The reality star’s new bare-all documentary, Trauma And Me, was due to air on Channel 4 at 9pm on Thursday night (September).

However, the film was pulled from the broadcaster’s evening TV schedule following updates about Her Majesty the Queen’s ill health.

It came just before the heartbreaking news broke that Her Majesty had passed away “peacefully” at Balmoral Castle on Thursday afternoon.

Katie took to her Instagram Stories to inform fans that her documentary had been postponed due to the Queen’s ill health.

She told fans her “thoughts and prayers” were with the royal family in the post, which was presumably made before news came of Her Majesty’s passing.

Katie wrote: “My film on @channel4 this evening is being moved to a later date due to the Queen’s illness.

She added: “My thoughts and prayers are with the Royal Family at this time [pray emoji].”

Katie later shared a post from the official royal family Instagram account announcing the beloved monarch had passed.

The sombre post included a gorgeous a black and white photo of Queen Elizabeth II.

The post contained an official statement from Buckingham Palace which read: “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.

“The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.”

Channel 4 joined other major broadcasters such as the BBC and ITV in switching up their schedules to focus on the Queen’s illness and passing on Thursday.

It was BBC broadcaster Huw Edwards who broke the Queen’s passing on BBC News after 6pm, a sombre moment which was followed by a black screen and a moment of silence.

Katie’s documentary sees the glamour model open up about her mental health issues, including her diagnosis of PTSD, and what drove her to a breaking point.
