Sky News viewers have spotted a huge blunder in Royal reporting as the channel makes massive “mistake” – with fans calling for an apology.
The news channel showed some aerial filming of a justice march for Chris Kaba – a 24-year-old Black man who was shot and killed by the Met Police on September 5 – but mixed it up with the Royal coverage.
The way in which the filming was being reported was as though it was a tribute walk for the late Queen and/or to celebrate the new reign of King Charles III.

The newsreader stated that the people on the march were mourning the death of the late Monarch while “sharing stories” and “making friends along the way” – but viewers were quick to pick up on the blunder.
Journalist Nadine White shared the video of Sky News’ coverage and penned a tweet calling for the channel to “apologise”.
She wrote: “@SkyNews reported that the Justice for #ChrisKaba march in central London today was a tribute walk in memory of the Queen/to support Charles.
“Chris Kaba, a 24 y/o Black man, was fatally shot by the Met Police on Monday. Sky should retract and apologise.”
Daily Star contacted Sky News’ press office for comment – they responded to us on the evening of September 10 – read their apology by clicking here.
Other people have also flocked to Twitter in complete disbelief over what they were watching when the channel broadcast the aerial shots at around 2:10pm.
“I am lost for words. Sky News reporting the Justice for Chris Kaba march as a tribute walk for the Queen’s death. Disgraceful,” said one.
While another penned: “People are marching to Scotland Yard to demand justice for #ChrisKaba, who was murdered last week by the Met police. Sky News tells viewers they are well wishers on the way to Buckingham Palace to pay tribute to the Queen.”
And a third said: “This is absolutely f***ing disgraceful. Shame on @SkyNews. Thousands of us marched to protest the murder of yet another young black man at the hands of the police. He was the same age as I am now when the police shot him. We marched for Chris Kaba. Say his name.”
