Melanie C's celebrity feuds – Liam Gallagher 'fight', Spice Girls rift and Little Mix

Melanie C has delighted the world with her singing and acting abilities over the years but she’s also ruffled the feathers of fellow celebrities.

Since catapulting to fame as one-fifth of the Spice Girls in 1994, the hitmaker has gone on to perform for millions across the globe and won countless awards.

Melanie’s life is less hectic than in their heyday, but she still performs across the world and has released eight studio albums as a solo artist.

Today, the Whiston-born superstar releases her debut autobiography Who I Am and gives her honest side of the story.

While the 48-year-old has remained tight-lipped about its contents, some celebs may be quaking as we explore her famous feuds.

Throwing five girls into an enclosed space with a hectic schedule is going to cause tensions to rise and that certainly happened in the Spice Girls.

While the girls maintain their motto of “friendship never ends”, they’ve all been open about rifts and feuds within the band since they first formed.

Mel C has recently admitted that she and Melanie Brown, known as Scary Spice, had their fair share of rows.

The In and Out of Love singer and Scary were pulled apart by their bandmate Geri Horner who accidentally became involved during a working visit to Los Angeles.

Speaking to The Sunday Times, Melanie said: “We’d come back to the bar, we were on the port, so it was obviously one of those nights where there had been quite a few beverages.

“Geri, trying to keep the peace and keep us apart, ended up getting clocked in the face.

“Maybe there was a clash of personalities because the nicer I was, the more irritated it made her.”

Despite this, the girls “love each other deeply”.

Little Mix

Melanie has spoken about Little Mix on several occasions, mainly questioning why the former girl group over-sexualised themselves with their risqué dance routines and wardrobe choices.

She said: “I loved them from The X Factor, I just thought they were so different.

“But they are getting more provocative, to me, they were kind of the closest thing to the Spice Girls we’ve seen.

“They are all gorgeous and great singers but they weren’t sexy and it’s got more and more that way, I love them – but I just say, ‘Stay you’.”

Following the comments, Jesy Nelson, who found fame in the group, clapped back at the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards.

She wore just a long black t-shirt which barely covered her bum which read: “Too provocative?”

Melanie later appeared to take another dig at the girls, speaking as part of the AOL Build Series, saying: “My question is why do young girls want to be portrayed in that way?

“There just seems to be a trend of young people being over-sexualised extremely young.

“In my experience, I wore tracksuits, I never felt that us girls as Spice Girls were never put under any pressure to be sexy.”

Liam Gallagher

Liam Gallagher is never afraid of saying what’s on his mind and often vents on his social media channels.

Back in 1997, Twitter wasn’t a thing so the only time celebrities could start arguments was through the media and Liam did not waste any time.

During the height of his fame with Oasis, the group were nominated for a string of awards including the British Single of the Year BRIT Award for their single Don’t Look Back In Anger.

That same year, the Spice Girls were nominated for Best British Group, Best British Newcomer, Best British Video and Best British Single.

However, Liam famously said he wouldn’t be attending because if he bumped into Sporty and co, he would “smack them”.

While accepting an award on the night, Sporty yelled: “Come and have a go if you think you’re hard enough.”
