Linking arms with her mother, Susanna wrapped up for the occasion in a fur-lined long parka coat.

The photos followed Susanna documenting the experience to fans on Twitter.

“At once majestic and peaceful.

Offering her tips to others in the queue, Susanna later confirmed she had spent seven hours and 20 minutes waiting to see Her Majesty’s coffin.

She later added: “It is a challenge standing for that long.”

She has been succeeded by her first-born son King Charles III, who made history earlier on Friday (September 16) as he touched down in Wales for the first time since becoming King.

Susanna’s visit to Westminster Hall preceded entry to the queue being temporarily paused as the starting point reached capacity.

The government has advised people to not attempt joining the queue until it re-opens.
