The Masked Dancer fans have “worked out” the identity of Pearly King – and it’s not EastEnders actor Danny Dyer.
Fans of the ITV guessing and dancing show are convinced they have figured out who’s behind the mask after the contestant revealed a potentially huge clue on Saturday night (September 24).
The lion, which is dressed as a pearly king, has a distinct accent – with many thinking it might be an Italian one.

And not only this, but the contestant behind the mask hinted at a “royal connection” aside from his character of Pearly King.
Judges on the panel were quick to say that the contestant might be Joe Swash – a guess that came after EastEnders hints.
Joe remained a firm favourite guess when the contestant revealed the royal connection, due to him winning I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! back in 2008.
But fans at home were quick to throw another name into the mix.
One of the celeb panellists name dropped Gino D’Acampo because of the accent – which left fans and viewers at home convinced that Gino is the celebrity behind the mask.
And not just because of his accent – but because he also won I’m A Celeb.
Gino – who is a celebrity chef and has worked alongside someone with a “golden mane” i.e. Holly Willoughby – won I’m A Celeb a year after Joe in 2009.
Considering the option and agreeing, one person penned: “Yeah, I think Pearly King is Gino D’Acampo.”
Another convinced viewer added: “Its Gino! He was King of the jungle #TheMaskedDancer.”
While a third said: “Pearly King… Gino??? #themaskeddancer.”
And a fourth confirmed: “Gino is a good guess #TheMaskedDancer.”
The Masked Dancer airs Saturday nights on ITV
