Who Wants To Be A Millionaire fans baffled as contestant shares plans for winnings

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire fans were baffled on Saturday night when a contestant revealed what they want to do with their winnings.

Elena Barnard, a content manager who got a Fastest Finger time of 2.78 seconds, admitted that she wanted to get a bigger house.

But she then dropped a bombshell when she revealed she wants to buy a second bigger home.

She then spoke of her ducks and revealed that she also wanted to buy a “double decker duck house” – a revelation that left fans and viewers of the show taken aback.

One person took to the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire hashtag rather baffled to ask fellow viewers: “Ducks? Interesting. #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire.”

While a second added: “Double decker duck house why? #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire.”

“Duck House…#whowantstobeamillionaire,” penned a third alongside a confused gif.

While a fourth person simply said: “Double decker duck house,” alongside a slew of rolling on the floor laughing emojis.

Later on in the show when things got tense for Elena, one fan jokingly said: “Elena is going strong! Just keeping thinking of the ducks!”

While a second added: “Let’s hope and pray for a question about ducks.”

Elena sadly didn’t make it all the way and decided to leave after she phoned a friend and they failed to help.

Leaving the competition with £32,000 – which should be more than enough for a “double ducker duck house”, Jeremy said it was “enormous fun” having her on the show.

Jeremy then made a sly jibe at past contestants when he added: “I always say it’s been great fun but I don’t always mean it.”

Broadcaster and former Top Gear legend Jeremy has headed up Who Wants To Be A Millionaire since 2018 after it was announced in the spring of that year that he would take over from Chris Tarrant.

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire airs every Saturday night at 9:30 on ITV.
