Eamonn Holmes has told his fans that he wants his life back as he prepares to undergo surgery on his back.
The GB News star, 62, has been battling serious pain for months and regularly updates his social media followers on how he is doing.
He is now having an operation that will hopefully relieve pressure on his sciatic nerves, and told Express.co.uk that he hopes it’s a “Back To The Future procedure” that will return him to a pain-free life.

The operation carries a 20 percent risk of going wrong, but the star said he had been suffering so much that it was a risk he was willing to take.
The TV presenter – who is married to Loose Women star Ruth Langsford – said dealing with chronic pain is “like living with the enemy”.
“I am hoping that this will be a ‘Back To The Future procedure and that I go back to the way I was 18 months ago,” he said.
“I want my back fixed and my life back.”
Eamonn has been suffering with his back issues for a while and this summer had to take some time off from GB News.
He will also be off while he recuperates from his op and told viewers he didn’t know whether it would be for a short of long spell.
Fans have been wishing the TV star well as he heads into hospital.
“Hope it takes away the pain good luck x,” one person posted on Twitter.
“Good luck for your operation x,” said someone else.
“All the best for a speedy recovery,” another viewer tweeted.
