The Chase contestant baffles with bizarre names she has for her pet chickens chase

A contestant on The Chase revealed the bizarre names that she has for her pet chickens on Thursday’s (29 September) episode.

Lorraine took part in the quiz show and tried to secure the cash on today’s show.

Before the cash builder round she was telling Bradley about her life.

The blonde quiz head used to be a banker before she made the switch to charity work and is now retired.

She spends her time at home looking after her chickens and when Bradley asked if they had a name she revealed that they are bizarrely named Whoppie Goldberg and Beyoncé.

Fans were shocked when Lorraine managed to score a whopping 10k in the cash builder round and took to Twitter to praise her.

One fans said: “Bravo Lorraine”

While another penned: “£10k brilliant #TheChase.”

And a third wrote: “Cracking £10k build up from Lorraine.”

And a fourth commented: “Wow! Well done Lorraine. Good team so far. Hoping they win. They deserve it.”

Sadly though, Lorraine was no match when faced with the Governess (Anne Hegerty) and was knocked out almost immediately.

Fans took to social media to show their disappointment.

One wrote: “Always the good players get caught, so maybe not so good.”

While a second said: “Oopsy. Bye Lorraine.”

And a third penned: “ Aww nooo they’ve lost a good player #TheChase”

A fourth said: “ OH LORRAINE!”

The rest of the team made it back for the final Chase.

The contestants Dee, Andrew and Owen managed to get 18 questions right and pushed The Chaser back twice.

However they were unlucky and were caught by The Governess with eight seconds remaining.

Anne did say: “The damage was done when I took Lorraine out, but I still think this was one of the best teams I’ve played in ages.”

Fans took to twitter to comment on Anne’s victory against the good team.

One said: “Hard lines, Nice team though .”

Another said: “Ann won with 8 seconds left on the clock.”

While a third penned: “Close..But no cigar…”

And a fourth wrote: “ Oh well, there’s always tomorrow.”

A fifth commented: “Winner, winner, chicken dinner!”
