Now, she’s urging ITV viewers to seek help early if they’re worried something might be wrong.

Deidre hosted a segment called Difficult Diagnosis on Friday’s show (September 30), where she took calls from women worried something might be wrong with their bodies.
She warned fans not to hide from the doctor out of fear of getting a scary diagnosis like hers during a teaser for the segment.
Deidre admitted she was “really lucky” she went to get help so soon as it meant doctors caught her cancer early and she could start treating it.
She said: “You know what it is? I was really lucky. I did go early. It’s been caught very early, and so all the treatment is happening very quickly, and that is just such a relief.”
The presenter also thanked the “brilliant” NHS for their support before pleading: “But of course, you have to make that initial call to get the help.”
She also told viewers to request mammograms if they’re over 70, or to get one for a parent if they might need one.
This Morning host Alison Hammond praised her co-star before the segment, telling the agony aunt: “Whatever happens, they’re definitely going to be inspired by you Deidre, on the way you’ve coped with everything. You’ve just been incredible.”
Confirming her diagnosis, Deidre said: “I have a teeny, tiny carcinoma, a cluster of malignant cells in a duct in my right breast.
“This is labelled high-grade, which means it is the sort that would grow and spread aggressively — had it not been discovered so early.”
In her column for The Sun, she explained her cancer may have been picked up earlier had she been invited to a routine mammogram seven years ago.
She decided to seek advice from her GP last summer after feeling “achy” and realising the cancer spread to her right breast.
Deiddre spoke to a doctor about her concerns before seeing an advanced nurse practitioner in person.
A doctor saw something wasn’t right after a mammogram and ultrasound scan, so she was booked in for a biopsy which discovered her cells were malignant.
Deidre also opened up about her cancer battle during a chat with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning earlier this week.
