Kaye Adams was told to “shut up” by her Loose Women co-stars after she danced for the first time on Strictly Come Dancing last weekend.
The broadcaster, 59, is currently competing in the BBC One dance competition with professional dancer Kai Widdrington and it appears the pair have hit it off.
However, Kaye was unsure about her performance and confided in her friends, Jane Moore and Nadia Sawalha, who proudly sat in the audience but admitted they were giving her “tough love”.

During a Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two appearance, the broadcaster revealed what happened when she met up with her pals after her dance which saw her take on the Tango to ABBA’s Voulez-Vous.

She told host Janette Manrara: “They were so supportive, it was absolutely great to have them there.
“I think they said the entire row they brought snacked, there was bread, I mean, there was fruit pastilles going up and down the line!”
Janette added: “They were campaigning in the audience.”
“Like you said I’m hardening myself,” Kaye said before continuing: “When I came off I was like ‘oh no girls, I messed up’ and they’re like ‘shut up, shut up’, so you know, it’s tough love – very tough love.”

Ahead of their It Takes Two appearance, Kaye and Kai joined the Loose Women panel and the ITV stars has just one request for the professional dancer.
Nadia Sawalha said: “What we need to know is if next week you can incorporate this move.”
The show went on to air a clip of Kaye twerking upside down against a wall before the Scottish star laughed: “Oh my God, you can’t get away with anything!”
“You didn’t know about her did you?” asked Nadia before continuing: “Because for me, that showed me something about you.”

Kaye exclaimed: “I don’t know what it showed you!
But Kai added: “I’m shocked!”
Following her debut on Strictly, Kaye scored a 6 from strict judge Craig Revel Horwood who gave the pair his highest score of the night so far.
After her dance routine, Kaye felt as though she needed to apologise to Kai as she had made a few mistakes.
She said: “I mucked up lots of the steps, I’m so sorry. This man has worked so hard and has been so patient.”
However, partner Kai was quick to play it down and praise her for her efforts.
