A trailer for a film depicting the defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard has been released, drawing in scathing reviews from viewers and fans.
A teaser for the film, titled Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial, was released this week by the streaming service Tubi.
It showed little-known actors Mark Hapka and Megan Davis in the leading roles.
The trailer, which lasted around one minute, was enough for fans to draw judgement.

It showed Davis and Hapka arriving in the courtroom for the first day of the trial, with scenes of Depp greeting his fans and Heard on the witness stand.
Fans were quick to point out that the actors didn’t look much like their characters.
Hapka wore a goatee, sunglasses and ponytail, while Davis was dressed in similar style to that of Heard in court.
Critics have also slammed the film’s “cheap-looking sets” and “awful dialogue”.
According to US entertainment site JOE, the trailer simply “looks tacky and feels like a sensationalist cash grab”.
While the Guardian asked: “A cheaply made and poorly acted new dramatisation of the two stars on the stand has been rushed out but for whom exactly?”
The trailer was released on YouTube, with people taking to the comment section to vent their displeasure.

One user commented: “This is blooming awful. I could do better with my iPhone,” while another typed: “The movie nobody thought they needed and… they’d be right”.
A third said: “The only hot take here is the fact I’d rather re-watch six weeks of free, raw court footage than any money-milking, dramatised college project”.
While another joked: “It’s like they were trying to find the actors who look nothing like him and her”.
