Strictly Come Dancing returned with a bang last weekend as 15 new celebrities made their TV debut on the dancefloor for the first time.
It wouldn’t be Strictly without the return of the beloved TV hosts including long-serving host Tess Daly and her witty co-host Claudia Winkleman.
For fans struggling to get their ballroom fix during the week, Rylan Clark and Janette Manrara are back at the helm over on the BBC One spin-off show, It Takes Two.

As the star-studded line up prepare to face their first dreaded dance-off, Daily Star has taken a deep dive inside the net worth’s of the beloved presenters.
Tess Daly
Tess was born Helen Daly in Stockport, Cheshire on April 17, 1969 and grew up in the heart of Derbyshire.
The 53-year-old dog lover now lives with her husband Vernon Kay in Fulmer, Buckinghamshire after welcoming two children together.
She first started her career as a model after she was scouted in the street at the age of 18, which allowed her to work in Paris and New York for more than five years at a time.
But her modelling career wasn’t limited to fashion shows and photoshoots, after she appeared in two Duran Duran music videos and even stripped nude for a music video by band The Beloved.
Since then, the blonde bombshell has gone on to host a slew of TV shows, most famously hosting alongside Sir Bruce Forsyth since its first series back in 2004.
After 10 years, the showman stepped down from the show where he was replaced by Claudia Winkleman who remains as Tess’ partner to this day.
It’s fair to say Tess has amassed a huge fortune over her lengthy showbiz career, boasting a reported net worth of around £3million.
Her annual income is thought to be around £1 million a year though her work with the BBC on Children In Need and Strictly Come Dancing, plus her commercial ventures away from the show.
Claudia Winkleman
Claudia Winkleman was born in the heart of London and went on to follow in her parent’s footsteps as a journalist.
Her step-sister Sophie Winkleman decided to steer away from her family’s media careers and went on to become an actress where she appeared in such shows as Peep Show and Two and a Half Men.
Now, the brunette beauty is known formally as Lady Frederick Windsor after she tied the knot to Lord Frederick Windsor in 2009, the son of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent.
Claudia Winkleman is best known for her role on the BBC One dance competition alongside her co-host Tess Daly after she took over the role from beloved Bruce in 2014 making her one of the most recognised faces on the silver screen.
Outside of Strictly, the raven-haired beauty also works as a well-loved radio presenter on BBC Radio 2 every Sunday as well as working as a full-time journalist which helped to catapult her to fame.
It’s fair to say the mum-of-three has lived quite the wild showbiz life, but she still manages to make time to be a loving mum and wife to her children and supportive husband Kris Thykier.
In fact, Claudia revealed during an appearance on Radio 4’s Women’s Hour that she would leave her presenting job in a heartbeat if it collided with the weekend she saw her eldest son venture off to university.
She told listeners: “I phone the boss of Strictly quite dramatically and said through tears, ‘Sarah, I love you. I don’t want to leave Strictly and Tess and I have agreed we will leave together when they’re done with us, but if the first show is September 13, I’m out and you’ll have to go with somebody else’.”
Luckily the show wasn’t set to air until the end of the month meaning her role on the show wouldn’t clash with her son’s moving date.
The starlet’s net worth is thought to be around £9million and is reportedly paid between £450,000 to £499,999 a year for her work with the BBC.
It is understood Claudia is one of the highest paid female stars to work for the flagship channel after her work with Strictly – which is allegedly where a large portion of her salary comes from – as well as her latest cookery show with Mary Berry titled Best Home Cook.
Rylan Clark
Rylan Clark, 33, was born Ross Richard Clark in East London before moving to Stanford-le-Hope in Essex with his mother and older brother Jamie where he worked as a shop assistant at Optical Express.
Alongside his retail job, Rylan also worked as a part-time model from the age of 16 where he adopted the stage name Rylan.
Before he shot stardom on X Factor in 2012, the star was part of several Take That and Westlife tribute bands in Ibiza, as well as the lead singer in a Spanish boy band 4bidden.
Since he appeared on the ITV talent competition, the TV personality went on to join a slew of other TV shows, including Celebrity Big Brother which he won in 2013.
He used his reality show success as a springboard to become quite the TV presenter working alongside Davina McCall on Big Brother and Xtra Factor in addition to working on Strictly: It Takes Two.
In 2022, Rylan gained multi-millionaire status after his earnings topped over £3.4million following the breakdown of his marriage from Dan Neal last year.
According to The Sun, Rylan’s huge fortune was revealed in financial statements from his mail order company Rcndorse.
The publication claimed the company banked £500,000 last year, netting £23,625 worth of fixed assets and £444,926 in current assets. Rylan then had £405,809 profit left after allowing for £67,742 with bills.
In total, reports estimated that Rylan’s net worth is around £4.5 million with a large chunk of change coming from his various presenting jobs.
Janette Manrara
Janette Manrara was born in Miami, Florida to a loving Cuban family and formally started performing in musical theatre at the age of 12 before she expanded her horizons to include dance and singing from the age of 19.
She first kickstarted her telly fame by working for a Hispanic TV station and even with Jennifer Lopez on stage.
The starlet went on to take part in the 2009 series of the American reality show So You Think You Can Dance? Which catapulted her to stardom when she joined the cast of Glee in 2010 as a principal dancer.
Janette joined the Strictly family as a professional dancer in 2013 where she met her future husband Aljaz Skorjanec.
The TV hunk popped the question in 2015 and then the pair tied the knot in July 2017 and its fair to say the pair celebrated their romance with a bang after they hosted three ceremonies.
Although the couple don’t have children the happy couple are hoping to start a family in the near future during their jam-packed schedule.
