ITV 'signs up' first ever Love Island star for I'm A Celebrity after TV success

Love Island star Olivia Attwood is set to become the first ever contestant from the dating show to take part in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

The leggy beauty will reportedly sign on the dotted line to join the celebrity endurance show – marking the end of a seven-year ban on Love Island stars taking part.

Olivia, 31, is one of the most easily recognised names to have come from Love Island over the years after her explosive pairing with Chris Hughes, 29, in season three.

The feisty blonde has gone on to star in TOWIE as well as hosting her own documentary on the sex worker industry – Getting Filthy Rich.

A TV insider told The Sun: “This is a sign that the dating favourite is now so big and produces figures with such high profiles that they can no longer be dismissed.

“Olivia is already viewed as a rising star on ITV and this is likely to serve as a launchpad for potentially fronting more mainstream shows with the broadcaster.”

Olivia – who is engaged to 28-year-old Blackburn Rovers footballer Bradley Dack – has already tried her hand at a gruesome Bush Tucker trial when she munched on sheep brains amongst other things for the spin off.

Viewers were impressed when she also chowed down on fish eyeballs and animal testicles with ease.

The fashion lover has already admitted she would love to take part in the competition – which will return to the Australian outback this year after relocating to Gwrych Castle in North Wales for the last two years due to Covid-19 travel restrictions.

She previously said: “I’d love to do the jungle. I’d give Dancing on Ice a go, although it does scare me. I’m a bit of a baby, so I don’t like getting hurt.

“I feel like the minute I fall over once, I’d be done. I know it sounds dramatic, but I’m just a bit like that. For me, the jungle is less scary. So I’d love to do the jungle.”
