The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco almost had her leg amputated after a horrific horse-riding accident.
The actress, 36, portrayed Penny on the hit sitcom from 2007 to 2019.
An avid horse jumper and competitor, Kaley suffered serious injuries when she fell from a spooked horse while riding at a Los Angeles ranch in September 2010.

Seconds after her fall, the horse attempted to jump over Kaley but instead landed on her left leg, crushing it instantly.
The Hollywood star was swiftly rushed to hospital and was in surgery within two hours of her arrival.
Warned by doctors that she risked losing her leg due to the severity of her injuries, Kaley said: “Before I went into surgery, they made me sign something that said, ‘We don’t know until we get in there and see this leg, and it could come out that you don’t have it anymore.'”
She added: “Everything ended up fine, and I was up and working a week later, but the doctors acted like I was never going to walk again.
“It’s still too much for me to go into, and it sounded way worse than it was.
“And of course it was spiralling and everyone was freaking out, which I get. It scared people.”
The incident was recounted by Kaley alongside her co-star Johnny Galecki and show creator Chuck Lorre in the recently-released The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive, Inside Story of the Epic Hit Series.
Referring to the scare as “the darkest, most frightening time in the show’s history”, Lorre revealed that The Big Bang Theory could have ended had Kaley lost her leg.
He explained: “It was a series of miracles that allowed us to get through that and for her to come out the other end of that healthy.”
While originally believing Kaley wouldn’t be able to walk for months, she was released from hospital and back on her feet in a boot after two weeks.
She was also written out of two episodes of The Big Bang Theory.
In happier news, Kaley recently announced she is expecting her first child with beau Tom Pelphrey.
The actress confirmed she will welcome a baby girl early next year.
