David Tag has revealed that he would “never say no” to a future soap role, following his exit from Hollyoaks.
David left the Channel 4 soap earlier this year, after his fan-favourite character Sylver McQueen died tragically in a fire at Salon de Thé de Marnie.
Just months after his soap exit, he is now back onstage in the pantomime Goldilocks at Liverpool’s Epstein Theatre, which sees the star play the enigmatic Ringmaster of a circus.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star at the sneak peek of the show, David spoke about what is next for him after the pantomime and Hollyoaks – and revealed that he would “never say no” to another soap role.
“If they came knocking, I would never say no. Especially Coronation Street, Emmerdale, EastEnders,” said David.
“They’ve all got such a massive heritage and reputation, that I would never say no.
“If they came knocking, I’d be there.”
Reflecting on his exit from Hollyoaks, David also said: “It was quite sad really, because they had become like my family at Hollyoaks.”
He added: “I do miss the place. It was a great place to work.”
After wowing audiences with his impressive singing voice at the sneak peek of pantomime Goldilocks, the star also hinted that he would love to showcase his vocal skills more by taking on a role in The West End.
“I’d love to do more singing, like The West End would always be a lovely thing to do, if given the opportunity.
“Television work is my dream and my passion really, so I’m still following that. I’ll do whatever comes to me really, but television and theatre are my passions.”
David recently returned to the stage as the enigmatic Ringmaster in pantomime Goldilocks, which is at Liverpool’s Epstein Theatre from December 9, 2022 to January 1, 2023.
The show sees him star alongside Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Dame Mama G, along with a talented host of stars including Olivia Sloyan, Timothy Lucas and Brandon McCaffrey, as well as Katy Mac, Benjamin Keith and Hannah Riley as the three bears.
The fairytale parody sees Goldilocks try to save her Big Top from a rival circus owner – with some help from the three bears, with David saying: “This isn’t an exaggeration, the spectacle that you’ll see is…I’ve never seen it in a pantomime before.”
He added: “Last year when people came away – no joke – they said that is the best pantomime they had ever seen.
“So I want the same thing this year. That’s the plan. People feeling elated at the end as well.”
Goldilocks is at Liverpool’s Epstein Theatre from December 9, 2022 to January 1, 2023. Tickets are on sale now.
