Music hell-raiser Shane MacGowan is scared of fairies.
The 64-year-old Pogues frontman claims the mythical beings live near his old family home in Ireland.
The Fairytale Of New York singer said there was an area he called the “Fairy Fort”, which would “turn you mad” if you set foot in it.

Shane said that the “Fort” was surrounded by “haunted woods”.
He knew of only two people who had ever entered it – both of whom were “never the same again” when they returned.
Shane said: “Hardly anyone ever goes in there, but I know two people who did.
“One had to be carted straight off to the loony bin. “The other guy’s hair went white, and he was stuttering about how he heard hundreds of voices screaming at him, saying different riddles.
“Every time he tried to answer one, there would be another.”
Shane said there was “no way” he’d ever set foot in the Fairy Fort at Nenagh, Co Tipperary.
He said: “It’s dangerous, instant f***ing insanity. It’s just down the road from the house.
“The Fairy Fort is full of sidhe, which is a Gaelic word for ghost or spirit.”
And he added: “It sends a message to you, leave us alone and we’ll leave you alone.”
Earlier this week, Shane was spotted out and about, partying with supermodel Kate Moss at an art exhibition.
He’s showcasing his art in a new exhibition The Eternal Buzz and the Crock of Gold in a book which costs a whopping €1,000, or £870.
