Strictly Come Dancing star Simon Webbe has revealed contestants who argued back at the professional judges on the show were soon kicked “out the door”.
Over the years, contestants have clashed with the star-studded judging panel after dancing their hearts out on the beloved BBC One ballroom competition.
Loyal fans of the show will remember the regular clashes professional dancer Brendan Cole had with acid-tongued judge Craig Revel Horwood before he was sacked back in 2018.

Now, the Blue boyband member, 43, has lifted the lid on the consequences of snapping back at the judges would often result in their time on the show being cut short.
During an exclusive Facebook Live chat with Daily Star, the singer confessed that although he didn’t always agree with the Australian-British judge, he made sure to keep quiet when receiving feedback.
He explained: “I remember coming out the gate with the jive and I just remember all the dancers were like, ‘That has got to be the best jive we’ve ever seen’.
“And then Craig went, ‘That was ridiculous’ and it made me emotional and it got into my feelings and all that.”
At first, the singer took offense to his cruel criticisms after he received glowing feedback from the other three judges.
The dad-of-two confessed: “I thought, ‘How dare you, everyone’s been telling me it’s the best’ so it was very, very hard for me to realise constructive criticism is good Simon.
“Because when you’re told ‘Yes’ all the time in everything that you’re doing in your space like in Blue and then stepping into that domain.
“And then getting told, ‘I don’t like your handshape they look more like spades’ or ‘your toes aren’t pointing enough when you’re doing the jive and the knee action isn’t right’.”
Simon confessed that during the first three weeks of the show, he struggled to accept the criticisms coming from the judges.
He admitted: “For the first few weeks I was in my feelings because of the pressures especially after the jive.
“For about three weeks I was like, ‘I don’t want to do this anymore’ but after that I was fine.”
After three weeks of sulking, Simon looked back on his performance on the TV show and spotted his faults that were raised by the long-serving judge which he later worked to improve on.
However, not everyone competing on the show was able to take on board the cruel criticism as many snapped back at the dancer on air.
Throughout his 14 weeks on the BBC show, the singer confessed that he noticed stars who argued back to the judges didn’t make if much further in the competition.
He went on: “At the time I was thinking, ‘My mum’s watching don’t you dare’ but it never crossed my mind [to argue back].”
“But I watched the other contestant’s kind of over step the mark and they were soon out the door. It’s manners, isn’t it?”
It comes as Blue made an epic comeback back with new music and a big stadium tour which will take place later this year.

Simon teased: “We’re busy doing our thing couple of songs and touring in December for an arena tour.
“Yeah, looking forward to it – expect to see some memorabilia, some tracks from the past, we are going through the setlist at the moment.
“We’re not sure exactly what it will be but there will be a few tracks from the brand new album Heart & Soul which is out on October 28.”
