Coronation Street’s Ken Barlow is in deep water next month as his former flame Martha Frazer is set to sail back into his life.
Veteran actress Stephanie Beacham is due to reprise her role as femme fatale Martha 13 years after her brief fling with Ken wreaked havoc on his marriage.
Lady’s man Ken was smitten with Martha and almost left his wife Deirdre, but now it seems old feelings could resurface as his former flame is quite literally sailing back into his life on her canal barge.

Ken has only just rekindled his relationship with another of his ex-lovers, Wendy Papadopoulos, but he’s shocked to see Martha arrive to help out with the Weatherfield Players Am Dram production.

Ken has grown rather fond of Wendy, but it’s not long before his head is turned by the allure of ageless actress Martha.
Corrie fans can expect more trouble next month as glamorous Martha bumps into lothario Ken, who in turn lands himself in another classic love triangle.
Corrie legend Bill Roache, who has played Ken since the soap was first broadcast in 1960, predicted “heartache” is around the corner.

He said: “I was delighted when Wendy came back into Ken’s life. I love that the writers are drawing on the rich history of Ken’s life to come up with these stories.
Roache, who is now the longest-serving TV star in a continuous role, added: “When I found out that Martha was also going to make a return I was thrilled, but I fear heartache may be round the corner once more for Ken now he has found himself in another love triangle.”

Stephanie Beacham said: “I am delighted that Martha has returned to Weatherfield. It is an absolute joy to be working with Bill again.”
Ken got his first divorce from Deirdre after his affair with secretary Wendy in 1989, but in 2012 he rejected her advances.
Martha will arrive in Weatherfield on November 23rd.
