Former Strictly Come Dancing star Simon Webbe admitted that he wanted to pull out of the beloved TV show after he was offended by Craig Revel-Horwood’s cruel comments.
The Australian-British judge is known for his acid-tongued comments on the hugely popular BBC One dance competition.
And it appears as though his cruel comments hit home for many of the contestants on the show after the 2014 finalist confessed that he wanted to quit the show after his scathing review in his first performance.

During an exclusive interview Facebook Live chat with Daily Star, the revealed it took him a long time to take on board the long-standing judge’s comments,
The 43-year-old opened up about how he moved past the cruel comments on the dance show.
He recalled: “I just remember coming out the gate with the jive and all of the dancers were like, ‘That has got to be the best jive we’ve ever seen’, and then Craig went, ‘That was ridiculous’.
“I got all emotional, that got into my feelings and all that. I was like, ‘How dare you! Everyone said it was the best they’d ever seen’.
“It was very, very hard for me to realise, look constructive criticism is good Simon.”
The singer confessed that it was hard for him to take criticism because he had been showered with compliments throughout his music career.
He added: “When you’re told Yes all the time with everything that you’re doing in your specialty with Blue.
“And then stepping into that domain and then getting told, ‘I don’t like your handshake, the look like spades’ or ‘Your toes aren’t pointing enough when you’re doing the jive and the knee action isn’t right’.”
Simon went on to admit that it took three weeks for him to get over his grudge against the ballroom judge.
The dad-of-one went on: “For the first three weeks I was in my feelings because of the pressures especially after the jive.
“For about three weeks I was like, ‘I don’t want to do this anymore’ but after that I was fine.”
“So I went back and I started breaking stuff down and watching some of the videos and I was like, ‘Oh right, that’s what he means. Oh, I get it’.
“I look back at my jive now and it’s not as good as everyone was saying,” he chuckled.
