Beauty queen who lost virginity to Elvis talks sex life – and saving his life 10 times

Many people wish they could say they dated one of history’s most well-known performers – and Linda Thompson did just that.

The blonde beauty, now 72, is an American songwriter, former actress and beauty pageant winner who was once married to former Olympian Caitlyn Jenner.

And she also dated Elvis during his most turbulent years leading up to his death.

Linda even declares the King of Pop was the love of her life.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, she revealed that she lost her virginity to the singer and how she looked after him through his addiction.

Linda also criticises the release of this year’s Elvis film – directed by Baz Luhrmann – for airbrushing out the last five years of his life, including her.

She says she was not approached for any input and has no plans to watch the movie.

“‘Every time Elvis was hospitalised, I’d share his room. The [Baz Lurhmann] film showed his ex-wife, Priscilla, at his bedside. She never even visited him, let alone stayed. Those last years, I saved his life about ten to 12 times,” she recalled.

Linda was a 22-year-old Miss Tennessee beauty queen, when, in July 1972, she and a friend were invited to a private film screening with a then 37-year-old Elvis.

According to the pageant winner, he came into the cinema “very grumpy” before sitting next to her, nuzzling into her neck and telling her that he and Priscilla had split up six months ago.

“I can’t recall the film we saw as we spent the night kissing and cuddling. And it was every bit as sexy as you’d expect. Kissing Elvis was like plunging your lips into two soft, sweet marshmallows — his lips were so sexy and soft. He smelled so fresh — of the Neutrogena soap he used,” Linda said.

After a few days, Linda was flown to Las Vegas where Elvis was performing and moved in with him.

According to Linda, Elvis knew she was a virgin, and she believes it was her purity that attracted him.

But two months into the relationship she couldn’t resist the superstar any longer.

“We were madly in love, staying in the mirrored ceiling presidential suite of the Las Vegas Hilton with the bed on a dais. It was magical. He was a sensual, tender lover. He was beyond the most beautiful person I knew — when he slept, I’d sometimes look at his face, the curvature of his high cheekbones, his aquiline nose and gorgeous lips,” she shared.

Despite what reports may say, Linda says Priscilla and Elvis’s parting was rancorous as he bitterly resented his wife for leaving him for their karate instructor. But, over the years, he made his peace with Priscilla.

Now, Linda and Priscilla are always cordial when they run into each other and Linda and Lisa Presley have stayed in touch over the years.

After years being spent loved up, sadly Linda and Elvis’s bubble was about to burst. As their relationship entered its fourth year, Linda was concerned about Elvis’s addiction and infidelities and realised she would have to end things.

She was exhausted caring for him, which she said was like looking after a newborn baby. The then 22-year-old was scared he would die on her watch.

The last time she saw him was in November 1976 when he’d flown her to a concert in San Francisco and decided to walk away from the relationship.

She never saw Elvis alive again and, just eight months after their split, he died at home on August 16, 1977, aged 42.
