Amanda Holden and Jimmy Carr walk off BBC set as guest says there are 'no help'

Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden was left licking her wounds after being on the receiving end of a brutal dig on the latest episode of I Can See Your Voice.

Amanda, 51, and comedian Jimmy Carr were seen marching off set after contestant Haloo mocked their assistance on the show, telling them: “I love you guys but you are no help.”

The pair initially laughed at the savage comment before standing up and walking away from the panel and off-set.

Host Paddy McGuinness is heard saying: “Off you go, see you later.”

Then, referring to another celebrity guest: “Lulu, you can stay.”

The rest of the celebrity panel, including Lulu and This Morning’s Alison Hammond, are shown roaring with laughter.

The moment – which will air on Saturday evening – was released in a sneak preview by the BBC show on Wednesday (November 2).

I Can See Your Voice made its long-awaited comeback on Saturday night.

The series, which first aired last year, sees panelists Amanda, Jimmy and Alison Hammond help contestants to work out if the singers in front of them are actually good, or miming along to a much better singer, because they’re actually terrible.

Whilst the first episode of the new series provided audience members with several laughs from singers, Jimmy’s quick-witted savagery also had them chuckling.

One of the singers up for speculation last week was “No Scrubs”, who was a young woman dressed as a doctor.

Guest star Tony Hadley said he thought she was a real singer due to the way she moved her mouth, before Amanda mused: “She’s a student, universities have theatre groups, after college they go out and sing for entertainment. I reckon she’s not necessarily…” before Jimmy interrupted to quip: “How does Amanda know? She hasn’t got a GCSE!”

Startled “ooohs” went out around the studio, the contestant playing the game leapt to Amanda’s defence, saying: “She’s an amazing singer though!”

And, quick to pick up on Jimmy’s dig, a BBC viewer at home tweeted: “Amanda hasn’t got a single GCSE!’ brutal.”

I Can See Your Voice continues on Saturday at 21:10 on BBC One and iPlayer.
