GMB branded 'pointless' as ITV fans rage over accent debate with MAFS star

Good Morning Britain fans have slammed a “pointless” debate which featured Married at First Sight star Chanita Stephenson.

The reality star, 29, appeared on Thursday’s episode (November 3) of the ITV breakfast programme to discuss whether or not people are judged for their accents.

While Chanita’s presence initially confused viewers, the nature of the debate soon caused them to switch off – with fans slamming the “pointless” discussion.

A third frustrated viewer wrote: “There’s a cost of living and energy crisis but let’s all talk about how people with different accents are mocked.”

Meanwhile, a fourth quipped: “What a load of old sh**e this is.”

A fifth added: “Are people really getting offended over accents. Please take us back to the 90’s …”

“What utter b*****ks,” another fan concluded.

Chanita’s GMB appearance follows her former love interest Jordan Emmett Connolly jetting off on holiday with one of their co-stars following the breakdown of the couple’s relationship.

Earlier this month, the TV star confirmed he had enjoyed a secret Ibiza getaway with either Kwame, Duka, Zoe or Thomas following his failed marriage to Chanita.

The couple stunned fans by breaking up after reading their final vows to each other.

Jordan’s Ibiza trip also followed him apologising for “upsetting Chanita” in difficult scenes on the E4 show.

He wrote on Instagram: “I can’t express how difficult it has been to deal with the fact that I have upset Chanita to the extent I have, I am not a bad person, but I handled the situation badly, and I take full accountability and have learnt an important lesson.”

Married at First Sight UK airs on E4. Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV.
