Dan Walker has revealed which BBC Breakfast co-stars he still maintains a friendship with, despite his recent move to Channel 5.
Walker was a host on the early morning news show from 2016 to 2022 and generated a large fanbase during his time with the broadcaster.
However, a huge career change came earlier this year when he signed a deal with Channel 5 to join 5 News.

Although he appears to have settled into his new job, he still has ties back at the BBC and spoke to Daily Star about his friendships on the Pride of Britain red carpet.
He admitted: “I do still speak to Sally [Nugent] and Carol [Kirkwood] a lot. I saw Louise [Minchin] at the National Television Awards last week or the week before last. I think particularly when you get up at that time in the morning with people, you form a really strong friendship.”
The former BBC star also opened up about one of his most embarrassing career moments which involved an unlikely TV personality.
Dan once pursued the reality star and revealed that he ended up with “banana on his face” after he fell in a wheelie bin.
He said: “The most embarrassing thing that ever happened to me was, do you remember a few years ago? Jordan [Katie Price] ran for MP in Stretford and Urmston as a Daily Star publicity stunt. I was at a radio station at the time and my boss sent me down.”
He went on to say: “My boss said: ‘Go down there. You’ve got to get an interview with her, whatever you do’. So, I went down there and as she left the room, I ran down the corridor holding a microphone to her.”
Dan’s day ended in disaster as he fell face first into the bin because he was so invested in getting a comment from the television star.
Walker hilariously explained: “I was so concentrated on getting the interview that I didn’t see a wheelie bin and I went in [it], came out the other side of the wheelie bin and next thing I knew – banana all over my face!”
