As the pressure mounts, Naomi begins to lose hope but she soon realises that her relationship is also suffering when her boyfriend Nate Robinson admits he has not been faithful.
Meanwhile the Dingles are still in mourning over their loved ones, Faith and Liv.
But how will Chas and Vinny cope knowing that Faith and Liv are gone?
Naomi set for prison
As the trial begins Naomi is startled when Saskia’s barrister argues the defendants were no longer friends with Naomi after an altercation occurred over money.
The barrister goes on to state that Naomi feels ostracised from the gang after their disagreement and this is why she’s dragged the defendants into this mess.
Later on in the court, Naomi’s barrister runs rings around Nicola on the stand, highlighting to the jury that her case against Naomi is lacking any credible evidence.
Once she returns home, Nicola is frustrated with the injustice of what she’ll do if the gang do manage to get away with the crime.
Meanwhile, Naomi is having trouble of her own as she considers the possibility that she might end up going down for a crime she didn’t commit.
During Thursday’s episode, while in court, Naomi runs into a calculative Saskia in the toilets, who insinuates that Naomi owes her money.
As things begin to get heated, Saskia threatens to drag Naomi’s family into this if she doesn’t change her version of events with immediate effect.
Later on, the prosecution barrister cross examines a composed Saskia and points out Naomi has implicated herself in a serious crime, appealing to the jury that her client has no motive at all to lie.
As Saskia prepares to give her version of events, Naomi tries to ignore her.
But when the defence barrister gives Naomi a hard time in her cross examination, she bursts into upset and anger as she comes clean about Saskia’s threats that were previously made towards her.
As the trial draws to a close, the judge addresses the jury urging them to assess the evidence presented to them but it’s clear Nicola’s not optimistic with what’s to come.
Back at home, Nicola is feeling exhausted and fed up.
Simultaneously, Naomi’s brother Ethan and dad Charles try to encourage a downbeat Naomi but she has already resigned herself to the possibility of spending some time behind bars.
Affair exposed
Although Naomi is going through a rough time with her court case, she is set to face further turmoil when her boyfriend Nate admits to sleeping with Tracy.
Tracy returned to the village in October after leaving for a new job earlier in the year.
Despite being engaged to her new partner Ollie, Tracy couldn’t resist temptation when Nate made an unexpected move on her.
But how will Naomi take the news that Nate has been unfaithful in their fairly new relationship?
Double death aftermath
The village is still recovering from the death of Faith and Liv who both sadly passed away last month.
With both women being cremated, its now up to the families to decide what they want to do with the ashes.
Next week, Chas announces that she’s finally dropped Faith’s ashes off at the factory to become a firework.
Meanwhile, having collected Liv’s ashes, husband Vinny is sat with his dog Chip feeling lost and depressed as he comes to the realisation that Liv is never coming back.
