Gogglebox fans gobsmacked as star swipes at Holly and Phil amid queue-gate drama

Googlebox viewers were left in hysterics after two of its stars Pete and Sophie Sandiford poked fun at Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby after their queue-jumping drama.

The brother and sister duo made the dig at the This Morning hosts during last night’s (November 4) episode of the Channel 4 show.

In the episode, Pete and Sophie were watching the ITV daytime show, where a guest called Brocarde discussed her future marriage to a ghost to the presenters.

However, during the interview things went off-track when the guest’s headpiece fell off which she blamed on her ghost lover Eduardo.

Holly and Phil then jumped, with Holly asking the woman what was happening.

She replied: “He’s here.”

The guest then revealed that her spirit husband did not like Phil, which led to Pete making a cheeky dig.

The woman added: “Can’t you see him? He doesn’t like you.”

Straight away, Pete said: “She’s not going to mention the queue-jumping is she?”

Sophie, mimicking the potential voice of Eduardo, added: “He says: ‘Queue-jumping [bleep]s.”

Viewers at home couldn’t stop laughing at the comments and were quick to react online.

“That saga coming back to haunt Phill & Holly,” one fan wrote.

Another added: “Eduardo knows a wrong ‘un when he see one.”

“Sophie and Pete on point tonight,” a third declared.

“Absolutely howling,” admitted another.

“Not gonna mention the queue is he,” someone else tweeted, followed by several crying face emojis.

The pair received backlash for ‘queue jumping’ in September

Back in September, Phil and Holly shot to controversy after they appeared in West Minister hall to see the late queen’s coffin, without taking part in the public line.

The footage of the pair “queue jumping” received backlash from the general public, and resulted in a petition being made to have them axed from the show.

However, the two later broke their silence and addressed the backlash in a statement on This Morning.

During an episode of the show, hosts Holly and Phil stressed how they had “respected” the rules set for the media.
