I’m A Celeb’s Jill Scott doesn’t think Ant and Dec will help her out over ‘secret feud’

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! contestant Jill Scott has said that she doesn’t think presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will help her out during her time in the jungle.

She said that due to the hosts supporting Newcastle, and her playing for their rivals Sunderland, Jill doesn’t think they will readily help her during Bushtucker trials.

In an interview with the Daily Star, she explained: “People who are Newcastle fans, Sunderland fans and all that it goes very deep, very deep. It’s competitive between the two teams so yeah. I don’t think they’ll be helping us out too easily.”

She said that she must stick to her guns when it comes to the sport.

Jill shared: “I’ve got to stick to my red and white and I’m sure they’ve got to stick to the black and white.”

The Lioness, who helped bring it home during the Euros at the start of August this year, is undoubtedly hoping for another shot at victory in the jungle.

Her fellow contestants will include semi-royalty Mike Tindall, Conservative MP Matt Hancock, Love Island’s Olivia Attwood, and Corrie star Sue Cleveland.

The show will return to our screens this month back in its home backdrop of the jungle after being in a castle in Wales for two years due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Ant and Dec announced the Aussie return in May this year in an appearance on This Morning.

Though they “enjoyed” their stints in Wales, it seems that they can’t wait to get back to the jungle.

Declan Donnelly, 46, explained: “We had two lovely years in Wales.

“We really enjoyed our time in Wales but the show has to be in Australia, we have to go back.”

ITV also released a statement about the show going back down under.

They said: “Returning to its home in Australia after a two-year break, our celebrities will leave their plush pads and luxuries far behind as they spend up to three weeks taking on the Australian jungle with a whole host of surprises created for them.”
