Cher has confirmed her romance with a music executive 40 years her age, telling fans they are “happy and not bothering anyone”.
The gossip mill has been in overdrive since the Believe singer, 76, was spotted looking cosy with 36-year-old Alexander Edwards, who previously dated model Amber Rose.
And Cher has now made it official by tweeting a snap of producer Alexander along with a red heart emoji.

“I’m not defending us,” she wrote.
“Haters are gonna hate… Doesn’t matter that we’re happy and not bothering anyone.”
Many fans confessed they were a little surprised at the new pairing.
But Cher responded to one follower to point out that there aren’t any guarantees in life and that she’s always been one to take a gamble.
“As we all know… I WASNT BORN YESTERDAY, and what I know for sure… there are no guarantees,” she wrote.
“Anytime you make a choice you take a chance.
“I’ve always taken chances… It’s WHO I am.”
Once the singer had set the record straight she was inundated with posts from people wishing her well in her new romance.
“Congrats on finding LOVE,” one tweeted.
Someone else remarked: “Living your life the way you want to live it is the most important thing.”
“I wish you everything you wish for yourself,” said one fan.
“If you’ve found love, companionship and togetherness then age is only a number.”
The admirer said if Alexander was “the one” then Cher’s fans would love him too.
“Stay you and look after each other because that’s what really matters,” they added.

Alexander previously dated US model and TV star Amber and the pair share three-year-old son Slash.
Cher has been married twice, to singer Sonny Bono and musician Gregg Allman.
