Britney Spears says dancing helps 'relieve pain' from incurable nerve damage

Pop star Britney Spears revealed to her 41.7million Instagram followers that she’s been suffering from “incurable” nerve damage in the right side of her body.

Sharing another dancing video to her feed, the Toxic hitmaker confirmed “there’s no cure except God” in her caption and went on to explain how dancing helps relieve the pain.

She wrote: “It’s funny though when I dance I don’t feel the pain.”

Britney gave more insight into her illness, confessing that the pain and numbness affects her sleep up to three times a week.

“I wake up like three times a week in bed and my hands are completely numb … it stings and it’s scary … the last three years since I got out of that place I’ve been in a mild unconscious state … I couldn’t face it,” the star confessed.

“That place” that Britney mentions may be the medical facility Spears was put into against her will in 2019.

She’s called out the facility many times since the end of her conservatorship.

As in many of her dancing videos, Britney twirls and dances in a long sleeved red crop top and low waist black shorts, freeing her wavy blonde locks.

Despite the seriousness of Britney’s nerve issue, she revealed things have got better in recent times.

“By the grace of God I finally found a medication where I actually feel oxygen going to my brain and through my neck … my eyes are more open now and I can hold my head up correctly … I’ve done a good job trying to pull it off. Either way I’m getting a lot better, I can breathe … I feel smarter.”

Britney mentions “Victoria” twice in her message, but doesn’t allude to who that might be – though it may be Victoria Asher, her former assistant.

Britney assured fans that she’d been feeling better recently

At the start of her caption, she wrote: “I’m dancing in time now Victoria … yes,” and then refers to Victoria again, concluding her caption with “either way, I’m breathing now and I can dance in time, Victoria”.

Fans took to the comments to share their concern at the video, which appears to have been an old video that the star reposted.

“It’s the same video over and over … it’s getting sad,” an eagle-eyed fan pointed out.

Another confirmed the repost, saying: “You posted this an hour ago and deleted. And now again? Weird.”

Other were impressed by dancing skills.

One wrote: “You know what impresses me most? That you spin like that without getting dizzy!!!!”

“Love the spinning . Glad you changed it up,” another chimed in.
