I'm A Celeb's Boy George will ‘survive the jungle’ after wild pop days, says pal

Boy George will “survive” the gruelling Australian jungle during his stint on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! after his wild pop days, says close pals.

The Karma Chameleon singer first entered the main camp last Sunday (November 6) alongside his fellow campmates Olivia Attwood, Scarlette Douglas and Chris Moyles.

And it’s fair to say he’s made quite an impact on viewers at home who can’t stop talking about the 61-year-old pop sensation on the ITV show.

Over the past few days, the music sensation has faced on air clashes with Loose Women star Charlene White over her leadership role in the camp kitchen.

Now, speaking closely to Daily Star, close pals Andy Cato and Tom Findlay from the hugely popular group Groove Armada have admitted Boy George will have no trouble “surviving” the gruelling conditions of the bug-infested camp site.

As the musical duo prepared to celebrate the launch of their 25th anniversary album GU25 which hits the shelves this Friday, the pair opened up about how their showbiz pal will fair Down Under.

Tom Findlay confidently explained: “We collaborated with him a long, long time ago – I think it might have been almost 25 years ago, pretty much around 1997 when we met him.

“I suspect that he’ll do quite well in there you know? He’s a real survivor. I suspect he’s been through a lot worse than this so I think he’s gonna survive.”

His band member Andy Cato agreed that the jungle is “going to be quite tame” compared to their wild nights out during the height of their pop careers.

He added: “I suspect compared to the pop music scene in the 1980s, this is all going to be quite tame.

“I think he’ll do quite well and he can definitely sing for his supper as well so he’s got that on his side too.”

After watching the star spat with broadcaster Charlene on Tuesday, fans were left speculating how Boy George will react when MP Matt Hancock joins the cast.

And even Andy confessed he was intrigued to see how the Love Is Love singer will respond to his new campmate as the politician moves into the shared living quarters.

He admitted: “Even the idea of Boy George and Matt Hancock being in the same room is too surreal to sort of even contemplate, so who knows [what will happen].”
