I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! fans couldn’t help but cringe as Matt Hancock stripped off for a bath in the fresh water river after moving into the bug-infested jungle.

During Wednesday’s visit to the Australian jungle, fans excitedly watched the disgraced politician arrive on the ITV set with his fellow campmate Seann Walsh.

The dynamic duo was tasked with investigating an underground maze as two moles in the camp where a slew of creepy crawlies and gross slime was dumped on them in complete darkness.

Both celebrities were asked to collect 11 stars in the underground maze in order to bring back food to the main camp before they could settle into their new lodgings.

After the skin-crawling challenge, Matt decided to wash up in the river as he slowly took off his shirt and stepped into the water wearing nothing but his bright red shorts.

And it’s fair to say fans were mortified at the sight of his pasty skin exposed on the show as they flooded to Twitter to share their disgust online.

One user penned: “Why does shirtless Matt Hancock look like cottage cheese personified #ImACeleb.”

A third fumed: “Never ever show me Matt Hancock’s shirtless body again! #imaceleb.”

While another viewer agreed: “NOT MATT HANCOCK SHIRTLESS HELP #ImACeleb.”

It comes after the public voted for the dad-of-three to take part in the next terrifying Bushtucker trial called the tentacles of terror which could see him swimming with octopuses amongst other aquatic creatures.

At the end of the episode, Ant and Dec waltzed into camp to welcome in the new campmates as they delivered the bad news to the politician.
