Tasha Ghouri 'would love' to work with Rose Ayling-Ellis as she gushes over star

Love Island beauty Tasha Ghouri has confessed she would love to work alongside Strictly star Rose Ayling-Ellis.

Both Rose and Tasha made huge steps for the deaf community in the last 12 months with Rose becoming the first ever deaf contestant to appear on – and win – Strictly, while Tasha was the first deaf contestant to go on Love Island.

Tasha, who has been raising awareness of SignKid’s incredible achievements within the music industry and elsewhere, has opened up on her hopes for future projects.

Speaking to Daily Star, she explained that she would love to work alongside Rose following her own incredible achievement on Strictly.

Tasha said: “Me and Rose have been in contact and we actually met at the National Television Awards for the first time officially and that was really lovely.

“I think definitely we would love to do something together for sure, hopefully we can work something out because I think that would be great too.

“I’d love to work with someone like Rose.”

Tasha also explained that for her own plans she hopes to align herself with charities and campaigns as she said she wants her voice to be heard.

The star added: “A lot of people out there shy away from a superpower. I want to be the voice for them as much as I can, that’s what I’m trying to do at the moment.”

Speaking about Love Island, Tasha also shared that she believes the ITV2 dating show is taking a step in the right direction in terms of diversity.

The star added: “I hope that they continue pushing that and breaking the boundaries and keep up the momentum. I think it really showed people you can find love no matter what superpower you’ve got.

“I really hope they do continue showing diversity on the show.”

Tasha has been busy focusing on raising awareness in the months since her exit from the show – and in her most recent campaign the star has unveiled the artwork at a music venue in London to celebrate musician SignKid.

The National Lottery supported the campaign which featured work by Lazerian Studios and created an interpretation of SignKid’s work.

The artwork is the second of four installations The National Lottery will be unveiling over a four-week period as part of The People’s Portraits campaign, celebrating heroes across the UK.

Tasha Ghouri teamed up with The National Lottery to help celebrate the incredible achievements of deaf British signsong rapper, Signkid, by unveiling a showstopping sculpture at the Roundhouse. The campaign shines a light on how the £30m raised a week by National Lottery players goes towards good causes across the UK.
